Daniel RamosTrainee Trade Mark Attorney
Daniel is a Trade Mark Assistant in our Trade Marks team in London. He has a Law degree from the University of Leeds and spent several years undertaking commercial litigation and advisory work in the UK and Brussels before joining Mathys & Squire in 2016.
Daniel works closely with clients on a range of UK, Community and International Trade Mark matters. As part of his litigation experience, Daniel has been involved in a variety of commercial cases, including patent litigation. He has a broad experience ranging from pre-action dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration, to multi-million pound disputes in the High Court.

Daniel has worked in trade mark law since 2016, and works with clients across a breadth of sectors, including the fashion, financial, charitable, recruitment and retail sectors. He has experience in opposition, advisory and prosecution work, and works with clients ranging from small businesses to industry leading multi-national corporations. Before joining Mathys & Squire, Daniel worked at a leading boutique commercial disputes firm. Daniel also worked as a legal consultant in Brussels in a leading international trade and EU regulatory firm where he specialised in consumer protection, industry regulation and customs. Due to his time working for commercial clients in the UK and abroad, Daniel has an astute commercial awareness and an appreciation for the business objectives at play in trade mark practice and intellectual property litigation.
Daniel graduated from the University of Leeds in 2010 with an LLB Honours degree in Law and a Distinction in Spoken Spanish. In 2012, Daniel was awarded a postgraduate diploma on the Bar Professional Training Course from the University of Law, London, where he ranked top in his year in several of his exams and received the highest possible grade of ‘Outstanding’. In 2018, Daniel was awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Trade Mark Law and Practice from Queen Mary University, London, where he passed his exams with Merit and was awarded a ‘Distinction’ in his Copyright and Design exam.
