Jane has spent much of her career in private practice, and also has substantial experience as an in-house patent attorney. She works across several areas of technology and specialises in drafting and prosecuting patent applications and in handling proceedings before the European Patent Office (EPO). Jane is recommended in the latest edition of The Legal 500, and has been praised for her ability as a “pre-eminent prosecutor.” She is also ranked as a ‘Recommended Individual’ in JUVE Patent‘s Rankings UK and as a ‘Patent Star’ in the latest edition of Managing IP’s IP Stars, in which she has been ranked for a number of years. “The creative and forward-thinking” Jane has been recommended in the IAM Patent 1000 guide for the last four years, in which it is noted that she “never loses and consistently achieves value for her clients.”

Jane specialises in drafting and prosecuting patent applications and also has experience in both opposition and appeal proceedings before the EPO. She has significant experience in semiconductor process and integrated circuit technologies, electrical and electronic technology, metrology, consumer products particularly domestic appliances and personal care, computer architecture, network and communications technology, medical and dental device technology.

Jane has a master’s degree in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge, specialising in physics.
