In 2016, leading IP firm Mathys & Squire celebrated the 10th anniversary of the founding of its Cambridge office. During the past decade, the Cambridge office has experienced significant year-on-year growth, and in February 2016 moved into much larger new premises in the Platinum Building, within the St John’s Innovation Park.
By relocating to the St John’s Innovation Park, the Mathys & Squire team of Patent Attorneys is ideally positioned to assist the plethora of technology businesses based nearby. Cambridge is one of the leading centres of R&D in the country, and the St John’s Innovation Park and the Science Park are home to many highly innovative companies. Members of our team are specialists in a number of technical areas, and are therefore perfectly suited to servicing this exciting and inventive city.
Our Cambridge team aims to support local businesses and grow with them. We work with a number of startup and University-based innovation groups including CUTEC, CETC, Cambridge Wireless and Cambridge University Entrepreneurs.
We also regularly give lectures, workshops and IP clinic sessions at the Cambridge University Judge Business School, for its entrepreneurship courses and allied programmes (e.g. Accelerate Cambridge and Ignite), and for the multidisciplinary Impulse programme at the Maxwell Centre.
We also attend a number of conferences in Cambridge, most recently ON Helix, Cereals, and the third annual Cambridge Information and Intellectual Property Meeting.
