Jeremy entered the patent profession from an industry background in semiconductor device design and development. During his time in industry, Jeremy was involved with thin film transistor technologies, analogue process and device development, and transient suppressor design. Jeremy is also a named inventor on a number of semiconductor device related patents.
Expertise
Jeremy works across all areas of the patent practice including: the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications before patent offices throughout the world; opposition both in Europe and elsewhere; due diligence activities; and litigation in the UK and elsewhere. He specialises in electronics and software related inventions with particular expertise in mobile telecommunications technologies, semiconductor electronics, computer implemented inventions, and radar. Jeremy is heavily involved in the evaluation and prosecution of standards related patent applications throughout the world.
Academic
Jeremy has a first class honours degree in electronic and integrated circuit engineering from the University of Liverpool.
Recent work
Jeremy is currently involved in UK patent litigation involving a large multinational company, and oppositions in Australia and Europe.
