Igor joined Mathys & Squire in 2023 as a Technical Assistant in the IT & engineering team. He graduated with a master’s degree in physics from the University of Oxford.
Expertise
Igor has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Europe and the UK across a wide range of physics and engineering technology areas, including in software and AI, semiconductors, and biotechnology. He has also been involved with patent searches, freedom-to-operate evaluations, and patent opposition work.
Academic
Igor’s degree in physics from the University of Oxford has provided him with wide-ranging knowledge of multiple aspects of physics, particularly within condensed matter physics and biophysics. His master’s research project involved testing the effect of a novel nanobody inhibitor on a potassium ion channel. Igor was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate with distinction in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London.’
