Katie joined Mathys & Squire in 2021 and works as an Associate within the life sciences & chemistry team.
Expertise
Katie has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in both Europe and the UK, across a wide range of technology areas within the field of chemistry. She has also been involved with freedom-to-operate evaluations, patent searches and patent opposition work.
Academic
Katie graduated with a first class degree in chemistry from the University of Oxford, which has provided a broad expertise in both theoretical and practical aspects of chemistry. For her master’s project, she focused on the use of chalcogen-bonding within ion-pair electrochemical sensors. Katie was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate with distinction in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London.
