Tim joined Mathys & Squire as a Technical Assistant in the IT & Engineering team in 2026. He previously trained at another top UK IP firm and holds a First-Class MEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London.
Expertise
Tim has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in both the UK and Europe across a wide range of technologies, including telecommunications, digital and analogue electronics, semiconductors, computer architectures, power electronics, and machine learning hardware.
Academic
Tim graduated from Imperial College London with a First-Class MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His third-year placement and final-year dissertation focused on improving processor verification efficiency using Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), leading to a publication and three patents.
