Thomas Mead

Thomas has a scientific background comprising model-driven engineering and domain-specific language development, simulation of cell-level decision-making and molecular dynamics of oncogenic transcription factors, epidemiological modelling of COVID-19 transmission in hospitals, and writing pipelines for processing and classifying biological data with deep-learning algorithms.

Thomas graduated with a BSc. in Biochemistry with French for Science from Imperial College London, where he spent a year in a molecular biology lab in Lyon, France, before developing an interest in physical simulation of molecular and cellular processes. He followed this with an MSc. in Bioinformatics and Theoretical Systems Biology, where he gained experience with writing and applying deep learning algorithms on biological data.
