Oliver Jones

Prior to joining the IP profession, Oliver gained experience working in the cybersecurity and nuclear industries. As a patent attorney, Oliver has worked on a broad portfolio of subject matter spanning MedTech, Robotics, Consumer products, Telecoms, and Video Games where he has managed drafting, prosecution and FTO work in these areas. Oliver also has experience managing design portfolios, including international applications filed through the Hague System.

Oliver graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Master of Engineering with Distinction in 2020. At university, Oliver specialised in Electrical and Information Sciences, with a focus on embedded electronic systems, probabilistic machine learning, computer vision and communication systems. At Cambridge, Oliver was the IET’s Royal Exhibition Scholar and winner of several academic prizes including the CAPE Acorn Prize for his 4th year project on Model Localisation and Terrain Mapping for Tabletop Wargames working alongside industrial sponsors to support the project.

Oliver has also been awarded a Post-graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, with Distinction, from Queen Mary University of London.
