A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our specialist standards essential patent (SEP) team. In addition to the more usual work of a patent attorney drafting new patent applications and prosecuting them in Europe, a significant part of the role will involve working collaboratively with our clients to support the prosecution of their SEPs, including provision of bespoke advice, evaluation of standards essentiality, and the preparation of claims charts in respect of the 3GPP telecoms standards.
The role would be well suited to a part or fully qualified patent attorney with an electrical engineering or physics background and who has experience of, or interest in, handling telecoms work. While the role will, primarily, involve work in the telecoms sector, it will also involve the opportunity to draft and prosecute patent applications relating to a more diverse range of technologies. If you think this might be the role for you, please get in touch!
