Mathys & Squire will be at the AIPLA Annual Meeting 2026 from 29th to 31st October in Washington, D.C.

Partner Iain Armstrong will be attending the 2026 AIPLA (American Intellectual Property Law Association) Annual Meeting in Washington.

The AIPLA Annual Meeting is a platform for IP professionals to come together and discuss the latest issues shaping the IP landscape. This year, the theme is “IP Horizons: Navigating Innovation, AI and Global Change,” exploring how the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence, and global legal and political shifts impact the way we advise our clients.

Iain Armstrong has over 25 years of experience in helping clients navigate the life science patent landscape. With a particular focus on SMEs and universities, he provides practical advice to clients of all types across the whole patent life cycle, ensuring that their IP strategy is in line with their commercial goals.  Having worked across a broad spectrum of life science technologies, he has a particular interest in cell therapies, antibodies, personalised medicine, and wound healing. His experience covers patent drafting, due diligence and coordinating patent prosecution across multiple jurisdictions.
