Quantum Industry Day in Switzerland (QIDiS) is an annual event bringing together academic researchers, industry leaders and innovators to accelerate technology development in quantum. The event is taking place as part of Swiss Quantum Week and includes keynote talks, panel discussions and networking sessions, covering quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum communication, quantum-safe security and more.
Quantum technology is at an exciting stage, shifting from research to real-world application. Understanding how to translate quantum innovation into effective patent protection is key to successful commercialisation, but quantum can pose significant challenges for IP strategy. Matthias Brittinger is a German patent and trade mark attorney and a European patent, trade mark and design attorney with over 20 years’ experience. He has worked on cases related to semiconductor power devices and second quantum revolution technology.
Adrian Holzäpfel has an extensive background in quantum communication, and is well-versed in the topics of telecommunication, optics, high frequency electronics and signal processing, as well as solid-state and semiconductor physics. He also has a strong knowledge of emerging technologies such as quantum computing, quantum cryptography and quantum metrology applications.
