Sarah joined Mathys & Squire in 2022 and works as an Associate in the life sciences team.

Sarah is a qualified European patent attorney with experience in drafting and prosecuting UK and European patent applications. In addition, she has experience in managing global patent portfolios and coordinating prosecution across multiple jurisdictions. Sarah specialises in the fields of biotechnology and cell biology with a particular emphasis on vaccines, antibodies, gene therapy, and stem cells.

Sarah graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MA degree in natural sciences, specialising in biochemistry. She went on to obtain a PhD from Imperial College London. Her research focused on the mechanisms underlying genome-wide epigenetic reprogramming events during embryonic development.

Sarah is a member of the European Patent Institute (EPI).
