Expertise
Peter works in the IT & engineering team as an Associate and handles patent matters on behalf of a wide range of applicants, from private inventors, universities and startups to larger corporations, including multinational telecommunications and video games companies. Peter also has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of medical devices, consumer products, software, electronics and display technology (including USB graphics, VR, monitors, docking stations and video adapters).
Academic
Peter obtained his MPhys degree from the University of Surrey, graduating with first class honours. This included a year working as a Visiting Research Assistant at Yale University, investigating the atomic nucleus 76Ge using a technique known as nuclear resonance fluorescence.
Peter’s research as a collaborative PhD student based at the University of Richmond in the USA was focused on the study of the samarium nuclei, during which Peter gained practical experience with electronics and semiconductor detectors. Peter has also published two first-author publications in a leading journal of nuclear physics.
