Daniel joined the IT & engineering team at Mathys & Squire in 2016. His work includes prosecuting patent applications in the UK, Europe, US and Asia for a wide variety of technologies. He also has experience drafting new applications and has worked on oppositions at the European Patent Office (EPO).
Expertise
Daniel’s work covers a broad range of activities including patent drafting, oppositions, searching and prosecution at the EPO and UK Intellectual Property Office (IPO). He works in the IT & engineering team on a wide variety of technologies including medical devices, software, electronics and telecommunications.
Academic
Daniel graduated from the University of Bristol with a master’s degree in physics (MSci). He studied a broad range of subjects over the course of his degree which included chemistry, geophysics and material science modules. His master’s research project investigated the crystal structure changes of rare earth alloys and had links to the nuclear industry.

Daniel is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA).
