Alex joined the life sciences team at Mathys & Squire after completing a PhD and postdoctoral research fellowship.
Expertise
Alex spent five years as a postdoctoral research associate at Newcastle University working in cancer research. His work involved understanding the development of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, with a particular focus on the involvement of cancer stem cells.
Academic
Having graduated with a master’s degree in Natural Sciences, specialising in biochemistry, from the University of Cambridge, Alex went on to do a PhD at Queen Mary University which focused on understanding the role of polycomb group epigenetic regulators in liver development.
