Qualified roles

Recruitment for our qualified roles is currently on hiatus until further notice. We will be updating this space when we have more information.

Associate – biotech team | London, Cambridge, Manchester, York, Midlands or Oxford

Our biotech team continues to flourish with the addition of a newly promoted partner and several new hires, so we are keen to recruit another top-level associate. We actively support flexible working arrangements and have the IT infrastructure and back-office systems required to support this.

Joining the team would offer you exposure to some of the most challenging and interesting work in this field – the team handles an enviable and exciting mix of EPO prosecution and opposition work, acting for major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies around the world.

With a transparent appraisal and career progression system, generous salaries and bonuses, not to mention a friendly and supportive working culture with regular social and sporting events, we are confident we can offer a superb opportunity to the right candidate.

Associate – physics, electronics & telecoms team | Cambridge

James Pitchford and Jeremy Smith, two of our Cambridge based partners, have a busy and thriving practice focused on the physics, electronics, computer software and telecoms sectors. They act for a variety of clients, some of whom are based locally to Cambridge and others elsewhere across the UK, as well as overseas clients, particularly based in Japan. They are looking to recruit an ambitious and capable part-qualified or recently-qualified associate with the appetite to help develop the practice and grow the broader Cambridge team.

Currently the office, which is conveniently located on a modern and attractive innovation park, has six partners, six other fee earners and a support team. It also benefits from the firmwide support offered by the London office formalities, IT, marketing and other teams. London is readily accessible, so staff visit both ways on a regular basis.

Cambridge is a perfect location for those who want easy access to London but also value the short commute, green spaces and clean air of the countryside. The city itself has a thriving cultural and social scene, and the firm even has its own punting membership that staff and their families can make use of.

With a transparent appraisal and career progression system, generous salaries and bonuses, not to mention a friendly and supportive working culture with regular social and sporting events, both in Cambridge and London, we are confident we can offer a superb opportunity to the right candidate.
