Our HR team works hard to ensure we live up to our One Firm | One Team mantra and is always available to answer any questions you may have.  

Melanie Binks | HR Director

Melanie joined the firm in 2023. After studying Economics at university, she began her HR career and soon discovered her passion for HR in law. Melanie has previously led HR teams in a number of different firms from a magic circle law firm to mid-tier regional firms. She joined Mathys & Squire to work with the senior management and HR team and is enjoying working within such an interesting and dynamic environment.  Melanie’s role at Mathys & Squire allows her to leverage her expertise in strategic HR management, contributing to the development of initiatives that enhance employee engagement and drive organisational success.

Lorraine Doherty | Head of HR

Lorraine joined the firm in 2017. Having studied acting at university, Lorraine was looking for a career which utilises people and communication skills. In her view, Mathys & Squire is a great place to work because of the healthy mix of interesting work and projects – plus our amazing ability to always have an excuse for cake!

Scarlett Richards | HR Adviser

With over 4 years of HR experience, Scarlett loves being part of people’s career journeys and is dedicated to amplifying the human element of HR, inspired by helping people grow and develop. Since joining the firm, she has immersed herself in the unique world of IP law and is excited by the diversity of work at the firm – finding the culture extremely collaborative and that no two days are ever the same!

Eliz Huseyin | HR Administrator

Eliz holds an MSc in Organisational Psychology and has always had a passion for supporting individuals to flourish and develop their career goals. Eliz started her career within recruitment and joined Mathys & Squire to take her first step within HR. Since joining the firm she’s engaged in various projects and describes Mathys & Squire as supportive, diverse, and collaborative.
