Our partnership with HBS Alumni Angels Association UK
Harvard Business School Alumni Angels Association is a forum for Harvard Alumni who are considering individually investing in early-stage businesses. The association fosters a community of education and connection, bringing angel investors together and offering exciting opportunities.
One of the world’s largest angel investor networks, HBS Alumni Angels has over 1,000 members and 20 chapters across the globe, including in the UK. In total, they have funded more than 400 companies across a range of sectors, from AI to Life Sciences, investing a total of $95 million.
As well as building a network of investors, the association provides valuable opportunities for the early-stage businesses. These include personalised mentorship from successful entrepreneurs, global networking events and the possibility to secure funding.
As a partner of HBS Alumni Angels UK, we have provided tailored IP advice for both the startups and investors involved with the organisation, covering the key aspects of IP: patents, trade marks, trade secrets, IP agreements, design rights and copyright. For investors, we guide them on what to look for in a business’ IP portfolio, whilst for the startups, we offer instruction on filing patents to protect their innovation and attract investment, highlighting the importance of implementing a strong IP strategy. Our attorneys showcase a range of expertise, meaning our help is valuable to a wide array of businesses and investors.
Most importantly, we have hosted pitch events lead by the HBS Angels at our London office for many years. At these events, startups have the exciting opportunity to pitch their ground-breaking innovation and commercial potential to an audience of potential investors. These evenings are always highly successful and enjoyed by all.
