Mathys & Squire are continuing their partnership with TheHill as they launch a new cohort of cutting-edge startups.

TheHill is part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, focused on cultivating a space for innovative health technology within the NHS. It operates with the mission of making the NHS more efficient, improving the lives of both staff and patients.

As part of this, TheHill runs The NHS Market Access Accelerator (MAA), a 6-month accelerator programme providing guidance to digital health start-ups. The scheme facilitates the integration of new products into the NHS, as well as the broader market. Thus, commercial success and an improved medical system come hand in hand.

If you want to get to know a bit more about the businesses taking part in this year’s MAA, TheHill is introducing them over the course of this week on their LinkedIn.

“We are delighted to support TheHill once again this year,” says Partner Posy Drywood. “We look forward to meeting some more amazing innovators looking to make a real difference to modern healthcare.

Over the next six months, attorneys at Mathys & Squire will be offering various intellectual property workshops, drawing on our specific knowledge of the medical technology ecosystem. We will share advice on the entire journey of building a business, from filing patents for protection, as well as to encourage investment opportunities, to adjusting your IP strategy as you grow.

Start-Up Accelerator manager at TheHill, Rowan Mould, shared his appreciation for the team, commenting that “Mathys & Squire have been fantastic partners of our MAA programme for a number of years and we’re glad to have them join us again for the 2025 programme. Their knowledge and expertise regarding IP law has been an invaluable asset to our cohorts and I’m looking forward to working with them again this year.
