Our attorneys and assistants have a wide range of scientific degrees extending from material science & metallurgy, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology and genetics, through to microbiology, plant sciences and zoology. Most of our attorneys hold further degrees and many have PhDs. We have attorneys who have worked in-house within the legal departments of multinational corporations, which enhances our ability to assist in the active management of an IP portfolio to maximise its commercial potential.

The breadth of our client base is similarly extensive. We act for UK and overseas companies, multinational corporations, universities and governmental institutions, as well as associate firms of patent attorneys in other jurisdictions.

The breadth of our practice does not however detract from our specific areas of expertise. In particular, we have one of the leading practices in the conduct of oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office in respect of patents relating to chemical and biotechnological inventions.
