Kathryn has a Masters Degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, specialising in biochemistry, and a PhD from the John Innes Institute in Norwich, awarded for the development of a system for using plants to produce vaccines against animal diseases. Kathryn qualified as a Patent Attorney in 2002, after joining Mathys & Squire in 2001. She holds a Certificate in Intellectual Property from London University.
Kathryn works in the fields of biotechnology and biochemistry, and has particular expertise in virology, vaccines, and nucleic acid/peptide chip technology.
She is a member of the Biotechnology Committee of the Chartered Institute.
