IP in The Times: Innovation vs. Inertia

Patent attorney and intellectual property strategist, Ilya Kazi, partner at Mathys & Squire, talks about innovation and IP post-Brexit in the latest edition of Raconteur, a publication distributed in The Times on Friday 20th April.

Highlighting that when protected, commercialised and managed properly IP can serve as an asset in and of itself, Ilya answers some FAQs about IP including the following:

  • Why is the UK so far behind on IP?
  • How should industry improve its management of IP?
  • What's it like in firms that truly understand the importance of IP?

Alongside Ilya's insight, Coller IP's Valuations Director, Fernando Vasconcellos also outlined the importance of  IP valuation in general and how it can serve as a negotiation tool.
