Posy joined Mathys & Squire in 2009.  She qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 2011, winning the CIPA Drafting Prize for passing the UK drafting exam with the highest mark and qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2012.

Expertise

Posy drafts and prosecutes patent applications in the field of chemistry, and is particularly familiar with inventions relating to plastics, electrochemistry and chemical engineering. She has also worked on oppositions and appeals at the EPO and spent time on secondment with a multinational petrochemical company, prosecuting a worldwide patent portfolio on their behalf.

Academic

Posy has a master’s degree in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge. She also has a certificate in intellectual property law from Queen Mary, University of London and qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 2011.
