Expertise

Max has experience in patent drafting, searching, and prosecution with the European Patent Office and the UK Intellectual Property Office, in fields including mechanical devices, sensors, energy, and machine learning. A particular further area of focus in Max’s work is preparing, filing and prosecuting Registered Designs in the Community as well as in many overseas jurisdictions.

Academic

Max graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2014 with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in particular in materials and microsystems.  His Master’s project, which was published in an academic journal, related to production processes for YBCO bulk superconductors. He has also passed the Queen Mary Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, with modules in in Patent Law, Trade Marks, Competition Law and Copyright Law.

Recent Work

Max’s recent work includes a number of computer-implemented inventions for a variety of start-up clients, patent drafting and prosecution work for a client working in the home appliance field, and several Registered Design filing programs for large multinational corporations.
